Recognises videos that beautifully capture Sri Lanka’s multi-religious identity — temples, kovils, churches, mosques, pilgrimages, rituals and spiritual journeys. Emphasis on emotional depth and cultural respect.

Awards cinematic features of iconic Sri Lankan landmarks, monuments, viewpoints, UNESCO heritage sites, and architectural wonders that define the island’s character.

Showcases surfing, diving, snorkeling, rafting, kitesurfing, sailing, and marine adventures. Judges assess action clarity, energy, underwater cinematography and safety portrayal.

Best Ceylon Tea Experience

Rewards viral travel content created using TikTok’s creative formats — trends, transitions, humour, micro-vlogs and fast storytelling. Emphasis on audience engagement and originality.
Best Short-Form Travel Video (Reels, Shorts & TikTok Combined)
Honours short-form creators on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok who deliver high-impact travel stories in 15–60 seconds. This category captures modern digital tourism influence.
Best Travel YouTuber – Sri Lanka
Recognises a Sri Lankan travel YouTuber whose work consistently promotes Sri Lanka through powerful storytelling, authenticity, and a strong positive influence on audiences. A creator who elevates the image of the island.
Best International Travel YouTuber – Tourism Ambassador Award
Honours an international creator such as Davud Akhundzada or global travel influencers whose videos significantly boosted Sri Lanka’s international visibility. Their content has inspired global travellers to explore Sri Lanka.
People’s Choice Grand Award
The most-voted video across all categories. This is the award chosen entirely by the public, symbolising nationwide support and viewer impact. It drives massive engagement and social media traction.
Jury Excellence Grand Award
The highest accolade of the competition. Awarded to the single most outstanding video overall, based on direction, cinematography, storytelling, emotional power, and production excellence.

All eligible videos will be listed on this website. Viewers can register and cast one vote per person. Public voting determines the Top 10 shortlisted videos in each category.
A panel of tourism professionals and creators will review the Top 10 shortlisted entries. They select one Category Winner per category. From those 26 winners, they select the Grand Award Winner.

Yes. Entry to VISIT2SRILANKA2026 is 100% free. There are no submission or participation fees.
Each category requires a minimum of ten (10) valid submissions to remain active. If a category receives fewer than 10 entries:
No compensation applies, as participation is completely free. This rule ensures fairness and maintains competitive standards.
Your video is evaluated through two stages:
Audience Vote: Public voting takes place from 15 Feb – 28 Feb 2026.
Jury Evaluation: A panel of respected professionals scores your video on:
The jury selects all 26 Category Winners and the Grand Winner.
You may resubmit or update your video before 12 February 2026. No changes can be made after the submission deadline.
