The Kanneliya rain forest is an oasis of green through which two of the island’s main rivers are running. This is one of the lesser known lowland rain forests in the island, and it is also home to around 80 hamlets. It spans across a total of 12 , 216 hectares of land. You will trek through this serene forest reserve with a wildlife tracker to catch a glimpse of wild animals and birds, snakes, monkeys, chameleons, parrots and blue magpies to name a few. Dangling vines wind their way up around looming trees, while the emerald green canopy is adorned with pretty orchids. This is a 2 km hike from the entrance. You will also come across the Anagimala falls, which cascades like a flimsy veil from boulders.
Price mentioned is for 1 traveler with only Transportation cost for up to 302Km, which more than sufficient enough to visit the places of interest mentioned in the Itinerary, pick-up & Drop off to the Hotel etc . For each additional 1km , fee of $0.35 USD (Rs.110) will be charged.
Fee is payable in local currency which is Rs.34,588 excludes fees for other travelers, if any + other extra charges such as but not limited to Entry Fees, Food & Accommodation, Fees for extra kilometers etc. In order to confirm your tour package, 10% deposit of the full payment is required upon confirmation. Balance 90% should be paid 24 hours prior to departure of the tour Or at the time of pick up from the Colombo Air Port for those who commence the Tour upon arrival in Sri Lanka. Hotel Charges & Food is not included in the price
