By submitting a video (“Entrant”), you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions, including the License Terms at the end of this document.

• The Competition is open worldwide to individuals aged 18 years or older.
• Both amateur and professional creators may submit entries.
• Employees, former employees, and immediate family members of the Organiser are ineligible.
• Sponsors may not submit entries to the category they are sponsoring.
• There is no entry fee to participate.
• Entrants must retain a backup of all submitted materials.

• Videos must have been produced on or after 01 January 2026.
• Duration must be between 30 seconds and 10 minutes.
• High-definition (HD) or 4K video quality is preferred; low-quality videos may be rejected.
• Text overlays are not permitted, except in the “Best Travel Video Advertisement” category.
• Each video submission requires a separate entry form.
• Entrants may submit multiple entries across categories.
• The Organiser may reassign a video to a more suitable category if necessary.
• Videos may be uploaded directly to the submission platform or published on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
• Entrants must use the hashtag #VISIT2SRILANKA2026 and the relevant category hashtag.

Each competition category requires a minimum of ten (10) valid entries to proceed. If a category receives fewer than ten entries, the Organiser reserves the right to:

• Cancel the category for the 2026 edition;
• Reassign the entry to another suitable category, only with the Entrant’s written consent;
• Withdraw the entry entirely if no suitable reassignment is available or if the Entrant declines reassignment.

Entries in cancelled categories will not proceed to public voting or jury evaluation.

As the Competition is free to enter, no compensation or claims may be made in relation to a category cancellation.

6.1 Entrant Ownership Warranty
By submitting a video, the Entrant warrants that:

• They are the legal owner of the video OR possess full rights, licences, and permissions to submit and publish the content.
• They grant the Organiser and its media partners the rights to broadcast, distribute, publish, edit, and promote the submitted video.
• The submission does not infringe the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, privacy rights, or intellectual property rights of any third party.
• All persons appearing in the video have provided consent; minors require parental or guardian consent.
• All music, soundtracks, recordings, and footage used in the submission are fully licensed or owned by the Entrant.

6.2 Music & Copyright Checks
Entrants are encouraged to verify music restrictions through YouTube’s official copyright resources or Audio Library tools to ensure full compliance before submission.

All media sponsors, telecasters, broadcasters, digital media partners, print media, and associated sponsors bear no liability for any user-submitted content.

The Entrant agrees that:

• Media partners are not responsible for copyright, intellectual property, privacy, or legal violations arising from Entrant submissions.
• VISIT 2 LANKA HOLDINGS PVT LTD assumes full responsibility for verifying originality of content before providing videos to media sponsors.
• Media partners cannot be included in any copyright or legal dispute resulting from Entrant submissions.

The Organiser appoints a Content Verification Officer responsible for:

• Verifying the originality of submitted videos.
• Checking copyright, music rights, and permission documentation.
• Flagging suspicious or non-compliant content.
• Approving submissions for media exposure.

Entrants must provide original files or proof of ownership upon request.

• Event Launch: 12 January 2026
• Submissions Open: 12 January 2026
• Submissions Close: 12 February 2026
• Public Voting: 15 February – 28 February 2026
• Jury Evaluation: 01 March – 10 March 2026
• Award Ceremony: 14 March 2026

All deadlines are final.

10.1 Audience Voting

• One vote per registered user.
• Any attempt to manipulate votes (bots, fake accounts, incentives, scripts) will result in disqualification.

10.2 Jury Evaluation
A professional jury evaluates submissions based on: Creativity, Professionalism, Relevance to category, Storytelling, Cinematic quality, and Technical merit.

The jury selects:

• 26 Category Winners
• 1 Grand Winner (chosen from the 26)

• Grand Award: Trophy + Certificate + Rs. 1,000,000 + Sponsor Gift
• Category Winners: Trophy + Certificate + Rs. 100,000 + Sponsor Gift

Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the Organiser.

Entries may be disqualified if they:

• Contain copyrighted materials without permission
• Include offensive, violent, or inappropriate content
• Violate privacy or legal rights
• Manipulate the voting system
• Include inaccurate or incomplete information
• Breach any Terms of the Competition

The Organiser’s decision is final.

All sponsorships, prize disbursements, and operational expenses related to the Competition are handled exclusively through the banking facilities of VISIT 2 LANKA HOLDINGS PVT LTD, including but not limited to:

• Pan Asia Bank
• Commercial Bank (upon activation)

Entrants acknowledge that all payments related to the Competition are processed through Sri Lankan corporate bank accounts.

Entrants may withdraw their submission by emailing

Shortlisted and winning videos cannot be removed until the Award Ceremony concludes.

The Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless VISIT 2 LANKA HOLDINGS PVT LTD, all media sponsors, corporate sponsors, jury members, partners, affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

• Copyright infringement
• Privacy or publicity violations
• Use of the submission across platforms
• Misrepresentation by the Entrant
• Legal disputes involving the submitted content

The Entrant bears full legal responsibility for ensuring that their video is compliant with all relevant laws.

• The Organizer may modify, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time.
• All decisions made by the Organizer and Jury are final.
• The Organizer is not responsible for technical issues, submission failures, or data loss.
• Entry is void where prohibited by law.

16.1 Competition Cancellation Clause

The Organizer reserves the right to modify, postpone, or fully cancel the VISIT2SRILANKA2026 Tourism Video Awards at any time in the event of unavoidable circumstances, including but not limited to:

• Insufficient sponsorships or financial resources
• Operational, technical, or security issues
• Industry disruptions
• Legal or regulatory restrictions
• Natural disasters, extreme weather, or emergencies
• Any other circumstance that makes it impractical to continue

If the Competition is cancelled:

• Submissions will not proceed to voting or judging
• No prizes will be awarded
• No compensation or claims may be made by Entrants or third parties, as participation is free

The Organizer may, at its discretion, reschedule the Competition to a later date or transfer entries to a future edition. All decisions of the Organizer are final.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. All disputes must be resolved exclusively in the Commercial High Courts of Sri Lanka.

For valuable consideration, the Entrant grants VISIT 2 LANKA HOLDINGS PVT LTD, its successors, licensees, and assigns, a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to:

• Use, reproduce, edit, modify, adapt, broadcast, distribute, publish, and create derivative works from the submitted video
• Use the Entrant’s name, likeness, voice, and performance included in the video
• Use logos, trademarks, and any other submitted materials
• Use the submission for current and future promotions, advertising, and marketing

The Entrant further warrants that:

• They own or control all rights to the submitted content
• The content does not infringe upon any rights of third parties
• All necessary permissions have been obtained
• The content is free of claims, liens, or encumbrances
• No additional approvals or payments are required for the Organiser’s use

The Entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Organiser against any third-party claims arising from the use of the submitted materials.

The Organiser is under no obligation to use, publish, or broadcast any submitted content.

By submitting a video to VISIT2SRILANKA2026, the Entrant confirms full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and agrees to comply with all rules, requirements, and legal obligations relating to the Competition.
