Overview

Explore Sri Lanka’s mesmerizing hill country and try out exhilarating experiences to quench your thirst for adventure. First, visit the hill capital of Kandy and witness the city’s natural beauty, cultural heritage and remnants of its colonial past. Next, head to Ella, a vibrant town that has a plenty to offer. Conquer its misty mountain tops and get stunned by breathtakingly beautiful views of the hill country. If you are up for an adventure, do not forget to try out the Flying Ravana zip line that takes you over the lush canopy of Ella. Also, visit a tea field and try your hands at tea-plucking. If you wish to catch a glimpse of the process of tea making, visit a nearby tea-factory. Wrap up your tour in Nuwara Eliya, a serene city enveloped by a cold and frosty mist.

Price mentioned is for 1 traveler with only Transportation cost for up to 560Km, which more than sufficient enough to visit the places of interest mentioned in the Itinerary, pick-up & Drop off to the Hotel etc . For each additional 1km , fee of $0.35 USD (Rs.110) will be charged.

Fee is payable in local currency which is Rs.85,750 excludes fees for other travelers, if any + other extra charges such as but not limited to Entry Fees, Food & Accommodation, Fees for extra kilometers etc. In order to confirm your tour package, 10% deposit of the full payment is required upon confirmation. Balance 90% should be paid 24 hours prior to departure of the tour Or at the time of pick up from the Colombo Air Port for those who commence the Tour upon arrival in Sri Lanka. Hotel Charges & Food is not included in the price.

Home to the revered Temple of the Tooth, Kandy is a resplendent city in the hill country and also a must visit destination in Sri Lanka with many historical accounts to explore. The Temple of the Tooth is one of the most venerated Buddhist places of worship in Sri Lanka as it houses the scared tooth relic of Buddha. Also, the beautiful royal palace complex is a reflection of the skill and dexterity of the craftsman. The renowned Esala Perahera or procession is also associated with the Temple of the Tooth. Visit the Udawattakele Forest Reserve The scenic Udawatta Kele Forest Reserve is an oasis of green hidden in the middle of Kandy town. With looming trees and dangling vines, the reserve is a great place to walk around and experience nature. You will walk past The Lover’s Walk, Marble Seat, ruins of a Buddhist monastery as well as a vantage point that offers a sweeping view of Kandy and beyond. It is said that the members of the Royal family had used the forest for recreational activities and the pond in the forest had provided a great bathing venue for them. Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens Known as Sri Lanka’s biggest botanical garden, Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden is a delightful place in Kandy. Sprawling over 147 acres, the garden is home to more than 4000 species of plants and 300 species of orchids. Wander amidst its stunning greenery and immerse yourself in horticultural delights. You can also spot various avian inhabitants, endemic reptiles and over 18 species of mammals.

You will visit the Nine Arches Bridge, the most sought-after attraction in Ella to catch a glimpse of the Badulla bound train passing over the bridge. This stone viaduct over the Demodara gorge was built in the 1920s with blocks of stones and cement without reinforcing steel or concrete. Visit a tea plantation Ceylon tea is one of the finest brews in the world. Visit a tea plantation and explore another side of Ceylon tea. You will take a trip through a plantation and you can try your hands at picking some tea leaves! Visit Dowa Rock Temple Just a few kilometers away from Ella is Duwa Rock Temple. The temple though seemingly small in size is great in significance due to its contribution to Sri Lankan history. You can see a Buddha half sculpted into the rock. The temple is set against a serene green backdrop. You will also see vibrant paintings on cave surfaces and intricate statues.

The rocky and winding path to the top of the rock is scenic beyond words as looming trees and creepers reveal a stunning spectacle. You will trek through emerald tea fields on your way to the summit. Though this hike may take about two hours, once you take the last step and conquer the top of Ella Rock, the views are nothing short of striking. Flying Ravana zip line You will zip line over the lush greenery of Ella and treat yourself to a bird’s eye view of the hilltops and forests. The zip line is about 400 meters long and is also the longest one in Sri Lanka.

Put your feet up and relax before exploring the town.

Enveloped in emerald green, Nuwara Eliya with its hackneyed reference “The Little England”, is one of the most scenic towns of the island. You will visit the Lake Gregory where you can enjoy its lively ambience and take in the pretty views. Hakgala Botanical Gardens is yet another stop, which is a charming world of exotic flora and fauna. You will also visit the Galway Sanctuary, which is home to many migrant and endemic birds.

You will leave for the Airport (Bandaranaike International Airport), Depending on the Departure Time or continue with one of our Tour Packages, or continue with your own itinerary for rest of your stay in Sri Lanka

3. Note - The starting point of the tour is Colombo. However, if you want us to pick you up from a different location, we can arrange it at an extra cost. 4. Hotel check in time: 14.00 hours and Hotel check out time: 11.00 hours.

5. Dress Code : Casual, Comfortable clothing and need to wear appropriately when visiting Religious Sites 6. ‘No Show’ will not be entitled to any refunds.

9 .Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is your responsibility to verify whether your local health/travel insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling. We strongly encourage and advise you to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour including the loss of deposits through cancellation, loss of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined.
